Counterpoint, that teeny Alabama town (pop <100) that's 2/3rds black and did not have local elections in the last 60 years. Just passed on from white guy to white guy. Black guy entered as sole candidate in 2020 and won. They barred him from office. Now they had elections, he won. Cute lil library:
