Snowflake | Melting

26th birthday
26 Today is my 26th birthday. I have lived through my 25th year and I want to spend some time and reflect upon that. This was one of the worst years of my life, there is no any other way to put it. As some of you certainly know I have gone through a debilitating depression this winter and early spring that, mostly, was caused by change in medication but also the events transpiring in my environment that I and my peers had and have to go through. And while the situation has changed, I feel much better mentally now, there is no way for me to deny that I am still affected by what has happened back in winter. The depression was traumatic in such a way that with the end of the summer I feel actual dread of the upcoming winter as if I am going to fall into that state again. Even while I clearly realise that there is no way for it to happen since the main reason it happened isn't present in my life anymore. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to move on, heal and reflect enough for it. A
