this is what i mean by anti-immersion and anti-escape. play does not have to be escapist. it does not have to dull your senses to the world. when the circle inverts, the escape inverts too, the game escapes into the world through you, and is enacted through your actions

the goal is a magic circle inverted. a game where, when you root the player firmly in reality, the rest of the world becomes a place where

-certain rules apply (if you kill an insect, you must account for it)
-and others are suspended (humans can kill things they deem inferior without consequence)

this is my game, I Don’t Remember When I Started Killing Bugs Again. to play, you log it every time you kill an insect. this is also available as a web app @transwron.gs made with me. people tell me it changed their behavior- they think twice about hurting insects when they remember the rules.
