There’s something private about listening to talk radio, which is amplified if the show is airing late at night. I think I’m the only one who appreciates this ephemeral thing, so finding a community who also listens ends up feeling special.

I can’t tell you how important both City of Angels and Flood have been in the development of my personal aesthetic and future appreciation of music. (And the Immaculate Collection is one of the greatest compilations I’ve ever owned, even considering the songs it didn’t include.)
