My hidden(?) talent: I’m very good at accidentally aiming the faucet directly onto a teaspoon so that the water is diverted from the sink right onto the kitchen floor.
What’s yours?

It took me so long to get through this bag of chocolate chips that they don’t taste good anymore.

I just almost tried to stick the jug of milk up on top of the fridge where the cereal boxes are.

Even if it were true (which it isn’t) that undocumented residents get healthcare from federal funds, how does that warrant withholding benefits from US citizens? Healthcare costs alone will surpass anything supposedly spent on those here illegally. Plus the services not rendered due to gov shutdown.

Lately I’ve had people who apparently disagree with me respond to my comments by insulting my looks. As if I don’t know what I look like and it’s going to make me sad or defensive or something. Don’t worry, I stopped trying to look attractive a long time ago.

I washed up my dishes AND brushed my teeth all before 9:30pm!! I feel like a real life responsible adult. It’s a strange feeling.

Pride is a celebration, but also a protest.

At its core, Pride has always been about rights: the right to safety, privacy, family, and to exist without fear.

We’ve seen what happens when protections aren’t guaranteed. We can’t let what happened to abortion happen to LGBTQ+ rights.

Words that end with -ful or -fully are a bit awkward to spell aloud. I found this out by spelling one of them aloud.

"the president defied a Supreme Court ruling to return a man mistakenly sent to a gulag... and spoke of sending Americans to foreign concentration camps.
This is the beginning of an American policy of state terror, and it has to be identified as such to be stopped"

Slightly sore muscles the day after a workout is such a good feeling. Like a sense of accomplishment.

Small ways to care for community:

-Check on your neighbors
-Donate gently used/new clothing items to shelters
-Restock a community fridge
-Donate to a local food pantry
-Participate in a community clean-up
-Donate to mutual aid
-Volunteer at your local community center or library

Every act matters

It took me, a music therapist who works with guitars almost every day, 15 minutes to remember the term “pick guard” today. How’s your Monday going?

It’s so telling that for hundreds of years the story of the Salem witch trials went “they couldn’t fathom a woman being smart or having power, etc., except by magic and/or making a deal with the devil” and for hundreds of years people were just like “well, yeah.”
