legitimately love this guy.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Éowyn, Shieldmaiden of the Rohirrim, after defeating the Witch-king of Angmar!

This tattoo was done by the insanely talented @ladyfae.art on May 22, 2025. I'm absolutely in love with my tattoo, and you did an amazing job with the details. Tattooed at Eden Body Art Studios in Dallas!

I just realized today I missed my nerdy show due to my nerdy PS5 game... Aka I missed yesterday's episode of Andor because I've been playing Blue Prince.

Historically, most Pope's only last 7 years. We have been crazy spoiled with Pope John Paul II lasting 26 and Pope Francis lasting over 12 years. May Pope Francis rest in peace.

Publicly found on X, words from Trump that haven't aged well one bit...

Representative Self, you should be ashamed of yourself for quoting Joseph Goebbels today. As a Texan who is the granddaughter of a woman who was forced to wear the Star of David, I condemn your PUBLIC quoting of a Nazi in the US Congress.

Snaps for Senator Booker for speaking about why we study history. That is going to be played in my classroom or quotes in my syllabus.

I hope Senator Cory Booker breaks Senator Strom Thurmond's record.

Thank you Senator Cory Booker. This guy truly cares about the people he represents.
"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥

Senator Lang you should be ashamed of yourself. There are PLENTY of students with disabilities that come from two parent homes, loving homes, and who want their disabled child to receive the best education. Everyone deserves an education no matter what background or ability - even you.

Murphy: "We need to act like a real opposition party in the middle of a constitutional and democracy crisis. That means we should not be moving forward nominees or legislation in the Senate. Ds should not be giving votes to nominee or legislation in the Senate until Rs get serious about this crisis"

I'm a teacher suspicious of using AI in the classroom, both in developing questions/lessons & with students using AI, because I see AI lowering critical thinking skills & creativity. I have continued to rely on my pedagogy & use Blooms/Costa to develop my lessons instead.

I find it hilarious that the ban on TikTok has been upheld, and people are flooding to Red Note instead... Something *actually* owned by a Chinese company & also named for Mao Zedong (a dictator) and after the Little Red Book which is a complication of his speeches and writings.

I love introducing my students to absolutism. I tell them they are in charge, to make some laws & consequences. Yesterday I had a student declare there are parties at her palace on Wednesdays but if you don't show up, you lose your invite for 3 weeks. High school kids are so creative when they want!

A brutal and horrifying but extremely well written and reported piece. I've been a Gaiman fan for decades and I might normally be able to separate the art from the artist, but he cast himself as an ally and a feminist through all of his work. It's a pile of trash now.
