I can't confirm the legitimacy of this or the intent, but I can confirm that enagagement with the official accounts makes looking up evrkawa very difficult to realize they were a ghosting commissioners. It also garnered them sympathy and leeway for their comm progress/gofundme.

While their account has been deleted, their partner's was not and their tweets about the ban had remained up for me to screenshot it.

Also want to add that earlier this year on Twitter, they posted that they were on an indefinite hiatus for any FFXIV commission work, claiming that their FFXIV account was falsely permabanned for RMT. They spammed the official account's tweets with this claim.

I saw this post late as I am not active on bsky but wanted to add—they were requesting payment through the "friends and family" option due to account restrictions, which is nonrefundable or reportable via Paypal. I fell for this, unfortunately. They promised a refund in dms but never followed up.
