I didn't hear Stride's Today programme interview on BBC Radio 4 this morning, did the interviewer not point out to him that his party was in power from 2016 through to last year while the Civil Service was growing 35%? Let me guess, that's a 'no'. Typical.

Someone posted a link to eBay selling union flags made in China on local community FB page. I just about hit the roof. So far, several 'likes' and one comment reinforcing my remarks. No attempted rebuttal by the local gammon so far.

From Reddit. Plod arrest a blind man for opposing genocide yet ignore UKIP's leader doing a Nazi salute. Says it all, really.
The police really should be ashamed of themselves.

Starmer vs Starmer ... I recall another article from the election campaign where an embedded journo attempted to answer the question 'who is this guy' with little success.

Oh dear, did Ian Dunt use cuss words again? I have to verify I'm a grownup, this could get really annoying.

Oh boy, I wonder what else is lurking in Epstein's file.

The Odey specimen I recall was a significant player in making Brexit happen. Hilarious his attempts to block any internal investigation of his behaviour. Good to see him get his just desserts.

Finally a 'good news' story with a healthy dollop of irony. Tim Martin must be spitting nails.

Ladies and gentlemen, seems we have a new arrival on Blue Sky who needs our customary welcome with the block button.

Democracy For Realists ... maybe some kind billionaire (sic) will buy 25 million copies and deliver to every address in the UK. Strikes me educating the electorate is a major priority.

The Daily Express said "arrant conservative" to this man's sexist views? Screenshot from this article on the safely progressive Guardian: www.theguardian.com/science/2024...

Actually, no. @alanhowe.bsky.social is not smart. He's actually quite stupid. He has blocked me (and others) for daring to disagree with him. Soon he'll have his own private echo chamber populated by sycophants. Bless.

For some reason I happened upon Nicholas Soames's wiki page, found this gem. I can never be rude about this man again.

Welcome! Myself - I have been effectively kicked out of XTwitter because Musk's algorithm ridiculously decided one of my posts broke the rules. I appealed and ... tumbleweed.

Not the sort of advert I expect to see on the Guardian website, but I suppose their money's good ... yes, I clicked 😜

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #1,548,726!

Musk's bots deemed one of my posts violated XTwitter's rules back June 7th. The context was a YouGov poll on people's reactions to Sunak's D-Day debacle. Surprisingly 7% of remain voters sided with Rishi - hence my acerbic remark. No response to my appeal, Karen's probably buried it 6 feet under.
