You can't forget that Team Fortress originally came from Quake (and was itself inspired by a DOOM wad!), and was ported to goldsource later on as an HL mod and finally its own release in Team Fortress Classic

this is maybe my only piece of game trivia that it's entirely conceivable that nobody else knows, just because of how many layers deep you need to be into a specific subset of video game players you would need to be to even have occasion to stumble across this

Note that this doesn't work on versions with corrected collision, so I can't do this on my openmw, but it does work in the base game (and in the xbox version!)

This creates interesting interactions if you're caught committing crimes, because the guards are set to not arrest you if you haven't been released, so you can end up with situations like this:

I've probably also broken 1250 in Quake and Pokemon games, across their respective series, but I don't think I've hit that much in any single entry

God I wish that game was still good, I sunk so much time into it but I just don't see any reason to go back anymore

I can only assume that, before long, these things will work themselves into traditional long-form videos, and we're going to get a movie that ends with slammed together clips of the main character looking confident set to Tame Impala's "borderline"

Want to communicate that a character is a badass? Fancam edits and phonk music. Want to communicate nostalgia or melancholy? intercut nature footage and midwest emo. It lacks all subtlety and nuance, but it has to due to time constraints. And that's not even getting into the memes of the format.
