I went into arts and communications and although I don't think it was the right decision financially it was definitely the right decision. I look back on that time fondly and my life and soul is richer bc of it. so I thank past me for keeping it real and I trust present me will do it again

at the end of the day all we really have are memories and the story we tell, so we may as well make choices based on the kind of memories we want to have and the story we want to tell

you can live your life based on others' advice and what you perceive they expect or want of you, but turns out people change their minds all the time and the only person left to deal with the trials + tribulations of your choices is you. so whatever you do choose the experience YOU want to have 🫵🏼

when we choose what we want we may disappoint, upset, confuse, repel and trigger some people, but none of it feels worse than feeling envy and resentment towards those who live the life they want and offer light and love. that's why you live for yourself so that you can also offer light and love

it's a what comes first the chicken or the egg type of deal

maybe that's also growth 🧍🏻‍♀️

actually, the other way around, a perspective that allows us to let go in order to --> feel peace.

choose whatever perspective brings you peace. bc we may choose a perspective that we think makes us move forward and grow but it ends up bringing us inner turmoil and bitterness. in which case we'll need to choose to see it from a perspective that brings us peace of mind in order to let go

or maybe...hear me out...

a better, clearer way to put it: best to choose the perspective that moves you forward. bc if contradiction keeps you stuck, then the goal would be to achieve the opposite, which is moving forward. growth is just a consequence of what it takes out of you to move forward.

serves your *growth might not even be right. serves your *progress, your *peace, *alignment, your *current purpose. and those could be the same as your growth. or not. see? it all depends! bc everything is relative and contradicts itself all the time. but current purpose is more accurate to me.
