I would still recommend to add more contrast. Otherwise they will be very hard to see on the original DMG.

I've also read that the new Croc release has improved controls.
I loved playing Rayman on GBC as child. Played through it again earlier this year. Still a great game 👍

Yep. The GBC was my first console ever 😊
The GBC has slight gaps between the pixels on its screen, causing a grid effect somewhat similar to this. Same applies to the Chromatic by ModRetro.
