A bit of snow here this afternoon after the sleet and hail this morning! Just getting itself warmed up for the proper snow tomorrow I think...

A very quick (and small) leatherworking thing today! A small (dice?) pouch, just to see how a larger pouch might work! Half tempted to make some larger versions for in-person workshops that I can put bits and pieces in for each table, like special treasure to discover.

Tried to make a leather wallet following a pattern (but no instructions) today.
Pattern was too stingy with the leather for me, no slack to make mistakes, so the card slots are a little tight with my wonky stitching!
But I think I know how they work well enough now to make up my own another day.

Another simple little leather project to practice, a roll for some of my fountain pens. Needs something to fasten properly like the notebook cover, but that's all. Quite happy my stitching is improving, been a bit braver with the thread colour on this one!

A bit rough and ready, but not too bad as a first try of doing something from scratch by myself?
A notebook cover in a dark plum leather. With 2 pockets the right size for business or credit cards.
Need to sort some fittings out to hold it shut properly, just a piece of elastic there for starters.

Custom A3 letterpress print done for someone. It's only simple but took a while to get it how they wanted it! Apparently a quote by an Olympian to inspire someone as they work out in their gym.

Made a tool roll out of leather today, that was a fun workshop!

Just remembered, I need to put this one I did the other day the wall too! Though its in a cheap frame, could do with a nicer one...

I don't know why, but I fancied writing a haiku and letterpress printing it! Might do another tomorrow? Ideas welcome!

The black dot in the distance is my dog sulking because I threw a ball for another dog rather than him...

Whoops. I've accidentally bought stationery based Christmas crackers from CultPens...

Bearing in mind I'm in a house full of books, thought I'd better make one of the first #letterpress prints with my new type a bookish one! (On handmade cotton rag paper.) Did a few and stuck it on Etsy as well as doing one for myself, will put it on my wall when dry :) www.etsy.com/shop/Librari...

Not sure...

Couldn't resist buying a few old copies of the Beano to letterpress print on! What should I print?
DING DONG (If you were in the fan club, you should know what it stands for)?
Something like KEEP MAKING MISCHIEF?
Or BE MORE DENNIS (or Gnasher, or other character)?

About to spend the afternoon in a little museum...

First stop of the day, no prizes for guessing where I am!

Just had a parcel delivered, something I ordered *ages* ago from someone in Romania who still makes wooden letterpress type. It's the first brand new wooden type fount I've ever bought! Isn't it pretty?

I feel your pain! These ones feel just *wrong* to me at the moment... Uneven AND blanks left!

Hoping watching Sapphire and Steel won't bring me nightmares like the first time of watching when I was little!

First harvest of Aklam Russet apples from the tree I planted! I think these are meant to be stored for 2 or 3 months before eating.

A mini adventure this morning, Runswick Bay. Never been there before, but it's lovely! Walk along the beach, a cuppa overlooking the beach, then called at the fishmonger in Staithes and bought brown shrimps in butter for lunch (on toast, yummy!) and kippers for tomorrow.
