You will be given a 1 word prompt (Eg: Temperature), 18 cards, and a pencil.

You will then have 15 minutes to create the game.

Then, you will pair off with another designer and do a playtest of each others games.

Was about to post today's game lesson, when I realized that it was the same as this! 😂

I guess the lesson works then!

I don’t know if this is the right book, but Think Like A Game Designer by Justin Gary advocates for this ideation process.

Hope it helps! 😄

Would love your thoughts on this, as I'm a big fan of game design contests.

I guess it depends on the type of contest though, as I mostly enter BGG's design contests vs contests like Cardboard Edison's.

Congrats on getting to this point!

Also, Figma + Google Sheets is awesome! I use it for all my designs

This game is a bit of a departure from the previous games i've covered here, in that it is Print & Play only.

However, I've enjoyed my plays of it, so check it out if it sounds interesting!

I can't wait to start playtesting with them!

1: Get/Find a laminator & some lamination sheets. Any should work.

2: Laminate a sheet, with nothing in it.

3: Cut it into whatever shape you want! (I'm doing poker sized cards)

4: Draw on it with a dry erase marker, put it in a sleeve and marvel at the coolness!

I love puzzle games! I don't know how big your game is, but if its 18 cards, Button Shy publishes puzzle games.
