We just got a kitten that we named Tortellini. The name fits in with our other cats, Gruyere and Mozzarella (and recently lost Gorgonzola) and our dog Casserole. So I get the name Macaroni for sure, top tier.

People tried to justify that as "the guy saying it was secretly from the universe where the everyone is evil so of course he likes Musk" but I don't think that's what they were saying

I'm not polyamorous but my partner is, it's nice to know that she has others to support her when she needs it, but also that sometimes I can play video games by myself without feeling selfish

I legit forgot to include parents' siblings' spouses in this, I was thinking about parents' friends and cousins and all that and the obvious one slipped my mind

I genuinely don't, but neither of my parents had friends close enough for that kind of relationship (or cousins they were close to). One of my dad's friends was my uncle but that's because he married my mom's sister (a Mistake).
That said, I'm no way discounting this, I know it's extremely common.

My whole point was never "no women had any effect on Star Trek", it was that it's an imperfect show and most of its early issues can be blamed on the time period and culture in which it was made. There were women, absolutely, and their contributions mattered, but they were never in the majority.

Yep, and she was a big part of Star Trek behind the scenes. But that's why I said mostly, basically everyone else was a white man. DC (Dorothy) Fontana was also an important writer in the original series, but she was also very much an exception.

Yeah, Roddenberry included Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov on the bridge of the ship for a reason. But he was a flawed white man making a show in the 1960s, written mostly by other white men, on a network mostly controlled by other white men. He had a vision but he didn't nail everything right off the bat.
