Well, not entirely but it seemed like you were insinuating it. I don't think most people would agree that you can like a game even if it's frustrating (even though of course you can)

Just seemed like you were throwing shade at it 😅 but you only needed one sentence to convince me you still like it

Curious

The grappling hook is not even that fast, I felt it was better used almost for getting to a different place rather than an enemy (even if that is sort of a reset, cancelling spacing)

Are you a confirmed Ninja Gaiden hater?

Yeah, DK's redesign is epic. I hope people can get over the huge difference because this looks really good

Then people look you straight in the eye and say "you're just not creative enough" 💀 Pikmin 4 and totk coming out the same year fucked me up with people saying "make your own challenge"

I really began to think there was something wrong with me after pulling myself through both. I even 100% Pikmin 💀

I played your demo and the game's platforming is amazing

One thing I have to say though: I wish I could bind rb to recenter camera, which I technically can but can't unbind rb from jump

I can't really handle full camera control during platforming, it's a bit overwhelming

Demo's epic though!

That's epic! I'll look into this...

What game is this?

Perhaps a solution is attacks which move you around, which you'd use to reach the next enemy by using the current combo?

Batman solves this by making you basically teleport 😅

That's not a bad idea tbh... I always forget what's on my backlog 😅

You add demo shortcuts to your desktop?

I hear it's hard because of loads of strange modifications made to the game when porting to PS1 from the Atari Jaguar (and every other port is based on ps1)

E.g. Rayman jumps higher in original, which you can see with that impossible jump in the mountain area

I think people are forgetting that Aardman does do different art styles that aren't Wallace and Gromit

What engine is this?
December 9, 2024 at 5:48 PM
Ah, you should have posted this a month ago!

I was making a game inspired by it but I made a prototype and it was terrible...

Your art is amazing!

How do you get to even drawing like this? I love the shaping of your characters...
November 28, 2024 at 2:50 PM
How did you make these assets? Looks very nice and clean!
November 27, 2024 at 6:50 PM
Fair, I guess I'll stick with these then... But keep what you said in mind about turtling so I don't end up sticking with something bad thinking it's just me 😅

What are your favourites?

I haven't got into the genre yet but bought a psp few weeks ago and have Ogre, Jeanne D'Arc, Disgaea and FF Tactics ready.

Am I set?

Only tactics game I've played is Advance Wars and XCom, if they count 😅
November 24, 2024 at 9:31 PM
Oh, fair!

Whenever I see Game Maker games I always think they look like games in custom engines with a framework...

Seems very freeing basically. But alas, my heart is taken by Godot!...

How did you make this?

Custome engine?

Thanks! I'm hoping to make a game which is a cross between Link's Awakening and Ghosts'N Goblins

So basically, a tough, top-down side-scroller with a jump button and graphical influences from LA (I'll definitely need to work on my pitch)
