Yeah bring it on. I hope those regulations take into account Apple’s propensity for malicious compliance and put in protections against this

And use of industry standard parts in devices. Proprietary SSDs for example should be banned when there are standard alternatives. Easy repair-ability and maintenance should also be mandated, no tiny proprietary screws on devices like m4 Mac mini should be enforced

What does meta have to do with anything in this regard? As much as I despise meta, mentioning them here is just a distraction. Apple do indeed need to open up, otherwise they are acting like monopolists in the same way that google is rightly being persecuted for.

Carol, you were so great on Countdown, I miss those days of you showing your charisma, wit and adding up skills. Now we just hear you beating up on Tories which maybe laudable but it’s not very positive. I preferred it when you were enjoying yourself. Maybe you need a better agent

What impresses me more is how bsky started. It is the brainchild of a young talented female developer who used to work at X. Just goes to show how much of a gift talent is. Hopefully 22m is not even scratching the surface. X needs to be reduced to rubble if in the control of a complete imbecile

I’m enjoying bsky so far but do you have plans to enable ‘tweets’ to be modified? I don’t understand why you wouldn’t have rolled this out on day 1. It is very difficult to write a perfect tweet without typos or grammatical errors on a mobile device first time

I don’t hate macs, rather I hate Apple, but the problem is Microsoft are even more hate worthy. I love Linux but the problems with it are that it’s too fragmented, some of the community is too hostile and hardware manufacturers don’t support it adequately partly because it is fragmented.
