Council housing still exists in London and is even growing in certain Boroughs.

Council housing still exists in London and is even growing in certain Boroughs.
Notably, the Act was voted against by Liverpool City Council and it never became law in Liverpool, meaning most social housing is still owned by the Council. I’ve recently applied myself and that’s why I know.

1. Shipley Clock Tower (1960-61) - Shipley Town Centre, where the clock is located, was developed by the Arndale Property Trust and, during the last year, was listed by Historic England. There was a fantastic greasy spoon, thereunder.
