Around the tower is 新世界 (shin sekai) meaning "New World" which is a bustling market full of games, food and shops and has been here for more than 100 years! It's a very loud and lively place. --> (5/6)

This place is a bit of a tourist trap with all the gift shops. And I didn't get to go out on the walkways or down the slide but they look really fun. It's quite cold right now in Japan so we saw a poor couple having to climb 250ish steps all the way to the top in a jumper and harness. --> (3/6)

The view from the top is great. Back in the day it was the second tallest structure in Asia and you could see the entirety of Osaka from the top but as you can see there are now much taller buildings than it lol. --> (2/6)

I am at Tsutenkaku tower. It's taken me the whole day to get the name right. It's 108m tall and this particular tower was built in 1956. The original was built in 1912 but it burned down in 1943 and was disassembled to use the steel in WW2. --> (1/6)
