Transit of Venus across the sun. We were in eastern Iowa at the time and it was really cloudy that day. We just got an opening in the clouds to actually see it and we swung the telescope on it to get this shot. It’s a tad out of focus.

This is the woods I grew up playing in. It doesn’t look like this anymore. There was a horseshoe bend upstream that blew through the peninsula and moved the river’s path so that our property isn’t on the river anymore.
