I can’t see anything positive here for EMCRs. An embedded fellowship sounds like they will essentially be a postdoc (similar to old ARC postdoctoral fellowships). It will take a good mentor to ensure the fellow has independence (and I would love to know how the ARC is going to assess the mentors!!)
