The runaway success of my garden so far, in terms of what today's visitors are admiring and asking the name of, is purple toadflax. I'm delighting in telling them all it's a self-seeded #wildflower

I don't usually cut flowers from my garden because they do more wildlife good attached to the plant, but my garden is open as part of a local charity scheme this afternoon so I've made a posey for the table so it all looks a bit more planned & a bit less 'lightly curated weeds'.
