I had the chance to take a long walk and the Seattle sky did not disappoint.

As this low pressure system moves offshore, another one is forming to the south. Then, according to Windy projections, they do a little reverse do-si-do. 🌀🌀😵‍💫

The left panel shows the change in cell diameter and carbon content over the course of the day for small phytoplankton: Prochlorococcus, Synechococcus, small eukaryotes, and Crocosphaera. Cell sizes start increasing at dawn, peak near dusk, and decrease at night. The right panel shows the distribution of hourly sizes for each phytoplankton group.
