I love clouds. Fun to think how cirri like those are solids made of ice particles while cumulus are liquid made of water droplets! ☁️

I could swear that first picture of Physalia is actually mine from our visit to BIOS in 2019, or a still from my video. The position of the fish prey is just so specific... or a very uncanny coincidence

My favorite outcome was validating species descriptions from 18th century scientists who illustrated animals on their voyages. Their descriptions were often rejected as implausible – we found that in many cases they were exactly right. Yet another reason why @biodivlibrary.bsky.social is so valuable
