HiRISE 3D: Double Impact Crater!
Glacier fill in two craters now separated, but looks like the flow went north at some point, and there is a suprising lack of erosion in some areas of the rim.

I wish the energy of this hurricane could be spread out to all the Melissa's of the world, including me, to lessen the toll on Jamaica. My deepest concern is with that island nation and all life in the path of #HurricaneMelissa.

I wish the energy of this hurricane could be spread out to all the Melissa's of the world, including me, to lessen the toll on Jamaica. My deepest concern is with that island nation and all life in the path of #HurricaneMelissa.

In response to the 'skinny' #NASA FY2026 budget the Surface Biology and Geology development team at NASA JPL has been given a stop work order: all travel, subcontracts, & development is to cease. Hearing also that Mars Odyssey and

I and my co-author, Dr. Janice Bishop, have written a Perspective piece on early martian geochemistry entitled "Catching a glimpse of ancient Mars." We discuss ancient clays, carbonates, sulfates, and iron oxides. Read it & the cover article by Tutolo et al. in the April 18, 2025 issue of Science.
NASA’s Curiosity rover has uncovered a hidden chemical archive of ancient Mars’ atmosphere, which suggests that large amounts of carbon dioxide have been locked into the planet’s crust, according to a new Science study.
