I remember Trumps 2018 1.0 trade war bullshit.. They were out of everything. 2x4x10 studs were like 4-6 bucks a piece and went up to 12 bucks after then almost 20 during covid. He raised the cost to build a home by almost 10 grand and a lot of contractors went out of business.
