That’s a shame, and broadly sweeping. I can count on one hand the amount of times we’ve used GenAI in 3 years. I feel you’re conflating an opinion in defence of AI tools with our own credibility. Personally find that unfair.

Matt, I trained in Film Production Technology at uni and have been a filmmaker and editor for nearly 20 years. My day job is in a film agency that has been looking at, monitoring and testing much of these new GenAI features. Whether you like it or not, it’s a solution.

Truly hyperbolic. I can understand your outrage, writers finally have technology breathing down their necks. In the film and video making art space though, we’ve been dealing with ‘How much? I can just film that myself on my phone’ for over a decade. It won’t replace you.

For sure. I see it more and more in the day job now, 2 years ago I was worried. But the more I’ve seen & used it, the more confident I am there is no replacement for people in art. Most of it is uncanny slop, and people are becoming more trained to spotting it a mile off. Good discussion btw 👍🏻
