Well, Trump made a u-turn. His billionaire backers probably calculated that a war with NATO would start costing them as well, instead of everybody else. So too much shit has been avoided for... just today, with Trump you never know.

Installed MacOS, iPadOS and iOS 26.2 but iOS went awry. My iPhone 16 ended up showing the Apple logo doing nothing. Long story short: I had to nuke 'n pave it. Now my iCloud backup is being installed, will take a few days. Oh well......

I just upgraded my iPad Pro 12" 4 to iPadOS 26; it ran without a hitch, which was to be expected.
Amazingly, my 4 important legacy educational apps, Emerald Observatory, Ptolemy Universe, Epicentral+ and Drivecast, all withstood the transition with flying colours!

And another legacy app was resurrected on my iPad: "Emerald Observatory". This is another fabulous astronomy app that was abandoned when the firm that made it, "Emerald Sequoia" folded some time ago.
With the help of the iMazing backup app I was able to re-install it and wake it up from the dead.
