When you only have a few, you can cut them out (they don’t necessarily pop up regularly) or make up lore for them. I got one white hair in my beard at 23 and didn’t get another for years (might have two now?), but it only shows up every couple of weeks.

This still only makes 50. AK is still worthwhile as one of “reach” target if they want to (and they should) aim for a majority, but it doesn’t look good from here.

There are strong indications that Peltola would prefer to run for governor, and AK-SEN would be much less winnable without her (likely R, in my view).

If you watch this movie before the watershed hour on a British channel like Film 4, you’ll find (as I did) that this scene is now censored.

Not really, tbh: trans people just have very few allies. Some of the least Islamophobic parties in Europe are also transphobic (Your Party, DENK, etc.).

Next time lockdowns are considered, the science of “what happens if people are isolated for X months?” needs to be considered in tandem with any potential slowing of the spread of disease.

A non-trivial number of sociopaths online (including the powerful): DOGE crazies, internet-poisoned billionaires) probably would not exist had things not played out the way they did. There’s a case to be made that the isolation tipped Putin over the edge.

Lessons need to be learnt in case it repeats itself. It is better to regulate society than (essentially) suspend it, and if it is to be suspended, the least critical areas (like the Maryland casinos which reopened early) should be suspended longest.

To be clear, my position is that the school closures were far worse than the church ones, and that if (when) the next pandemic hits, I’d like to see stricter mask/vaccine mandates and shorter lockdowns.
