In the past 24 hours, during trans week of visibility, I have seen 3 separate governments (NZ, Alberta, USA) attack puberty blockers.

I'm not one to believe in conspiracy, but it's starting to not feel like a coincidence, especially given the week.

I remember when people were making old man yaoi between Trump and Biden, but it turns out the real old man yaoi was between Trump and Clinton all along.

It's kinda crazy how now that Mamdani is elected I've seen people saying, "He should drop the radical stuff and govern from the centre."

However, when conservatives get elected, I don't see quite the same sentiment, even though they have far more destructive policies.

Can anyone tell me why windows 11 uses so much RAM when opening the calendar?

From what I can tell, it's grabbing several gigabytes (>200MB/s for up to a minute) of data from disc, and putting it into RAM.

WHY??????

So, if a bunch of people flee New York, then due to supply and demand, that should drive property prices down, making New York more affordable.

Never knew affordability could be achieved by scaring people with the idea of socialism.

I find it a little odd that a few years ago there was a bunch of hype around blockchain, which often needed a lot of processing power from GPUs.

Now that has been largely forgotten, and the hype is around AI, which often needs a lot of processing power from GPUs.

This confused me sooo much, it took me a while to realize it was about tennis, and not some dodgy ad that windows decided to show

If you're a guy, and don't suck my dick, you're gay.

Too bad I'm not letting you suck it.

In the past, people used to complain about feeling empty, but thanks to modern innovation, that emptiness has been filled with microplastics.

Can someone help me understand what happens to the people sent to El Salvador at the end of their sentence?

Are they sent back to their country of origin? Do they stay in El Salvador? Do they even have an end of their sentence?

The US is a country that often forgets that other countries exist, but when they remember that fact, they get mad about it

Seriously: arrest him. The governor should have state police arrest him and charge him with election fraud. Then immediately hold a press conference explaining you arrested someone for committing election fraud and will continue to do so. Just fucking arrest him already. You can actually do this

You find yourself in a 24 hour timeloop, and the only way to break it is by dying (you will somehow survive) which will cement that loop in place, but you do not know that your death is what will break the timeloop.

How do you think you'll die?

So, let's say all the courts rule against trumps executive order, then Trump just ignores the ruling.

What, if any, repercussions would there be?

Because as far as I understand it, he could just say it's an official act, and not face any consequences due to presidential immunity.

People don't realize this, but Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is crucial for understanding why the pentagon fails audits.

The principle states that you can only know where a particle is OR how fast it's moving.

The pentagon knows how fast their money is moving, so they can't know where it is.

Genuinely, how does anybody think Trump is actually making anyone's lives better in America?
