Ruth, an enslaved woman in Southampton, N.Y., is included in Jerimiah Culver's will. Upon his death, Ruth is to be enslaved by his widow, Demaris, and then by their son Jeremiah if she outlives "her mistress."

Abigail, an enslaved woman in Southampton, N.Y., is left to Martha Fordham in her husband, Joseph Fordham Jr.'s, will. Three enslaved children, Titus, Edmund, and Betty, were to be sold to help settle Joseph's debts.
