Do you think there is any correlation between the sewing machine you use and the car you drive?

I sew on a straight stitch Brother (dependable, sturdy, not flashy) and drive a Honda CR-V (dependable, sturdy, not flashy)…

Using leftover binding from past quilts for this one. One of these pieces (a red floral) was from my 2nd quilt ever! Tell me I’m not the only one who holds on to things for this long… 😳

My 2025 goal is to use what I have. Including this pile… backing trimmings, miscellaneous projects started and abandoned, extra cuts and diamonds and binding strips, test blocks. I think my first use will be a scrappy quilt backing.

Help! I am in the market for a new sewing machine. I use mine daily for mainly quilt piecing, but also bag making and quilting.
