The verger should have known better than to walk through the circle of ropes whilst ringing was in progress, have you recorded the incident with your safegaurding officer?

That happened to me when trebling to a qp of PB8, my glasses flew into the centre of the circle, scarry when it happens, I carried on and we scored the qp, today I take my glasses off prior to ring a quarter or peal.

It would depend on the time it was filled with hot water and the ambient temprature.

Well done on achieving your 3rd ringaversary. I passed that milestone many years ago, (55yrs to be precise). If you need some help in any ringing, like a specific quarter or peal and the location is favourable, give me a shout.
