It’s taken them my entire life to create these conditions, but I agree, I don’t think people realise that if people in certain positions simply ignore the rules/laws, you’re shit out of luck.

I mean they’re actively creating an imminent catastrophe, so I can understand them wanting to know they can get the hell out of Dodge.

Hilary got 3 million more votes than Trump and would have been president if it had not been for a small number of votes across 3 states. Corporate media wanted Trump and made the narrative about Hilary’s perceived corruption while uncritically giving Trump endless airtime to spout his BS.

Additionally, the terminal mistake was people in Bernie’s own campaign (among other people) assuring leftist voters that federal judge appointments and Supreme Court appointments don’t matter so they don’t have to feel guilty voting third party or not voting at all.

I like Bernie, but I think you’re underestimating the power of corporate media in the US even in 2016. Had he won the primary, the media would have laser focused on him like they did Hilary and later Biden and he likely would have lost as well.

The people who say this are pining for the days of Jim Crow laws or slavery.
