I think it's most likely but there was some debate about it, so I couldn't give it a confirmed ID to species.

That's REALLY useful.
I've often wondered about the links between the two & whether I should record to both, etc.
I admire the work of the volunteers who people the systems, appreciate (some of) the complexities and understand the inevitable lags in recording.
Respect to everyone involved.

Malcolm has already verified it on iNaturalist as has Fons Verheyde the top identifier of that species and another name known to me.

You don't always get a response, but when you do, it's usually helpful and accurate.
There's so many Ichneumons still to be described.

First recorded in 2023 and still with single digit records, I found two males five days apart, one in my garden and one in nearby woodland.
This individual is the latter.

I just searched iRecord (finally worked out the filter system) and there's only 15 accepted records, 4 of which are from Brighton, incl. one by yours truly 2 yrs ago.
