"the underground" is only really useful as a local scene descriptor (local scenes can be internet-based too) and not an all-encompassing internet descriptor

i have grown to have a very deep disdain for algorithmic content discovery so i've been trying to get off most social media but instagram also functions as a way to keep up with my friends so i'm on there now mostly

after trying to cut insincerity and irony entirely out of my life i've been feeling so much better about everything. engaging with everything earnestly is so liberating even when the good faith isn't reciprocated
