That’s why I’ve been aiming towards just curating a social media timeline explicitly away from political unrest and controversy. Call it an echo chamber but when there’s so many places where I’m subjected to unrest and discourse, it’s nice to have somewhere less tense.

Something I’ve already fallen in love with. I love the pressure that’s put on you, it forces me to fully engage with a game in a way that feels genuinely rewarding to walk out of. That pressure might not be for everyone. But I think dismissing the game as artificially difficult is a disservice.

Silksong is by no means a perfect game, far from it. I have complaints with it as well. Most specifically the lack of exploration and downtime between boss fights in act 3. And I agree with the people saying env hazards shouldn’t do two masks. But this new difficulty team cherry has crafted is-

For pacing, I’m not entirely sure I agree with you either, there are plenty of moments in the main story where I can venture off and do a couple quests, revisit an old area to access new parts with my new abilities, engage in many of the alternate secrets that the game makes available.

Bilewater is a specific diversion from typical philosophy in that it was intentionally designed to be as hostile to the player as possible. That’s the feeling team cherry wanted you to feel when venturing through that area, and making it easier would ruin that feeling they wanted it to have.

Moments like those are so few and far between that they feel more like the game teasing your than actually expecting you to challenge through it. They are things you fall for once and then you never fall for them again. If they were actually unfair they’d be plentiful and a constant. They’re not

You say it’s artificially difficult and I’d have to disagree. While there were times where I did think things felt unfair, they felt intentionally designed around being unfair. And besides Bilewater, these unfair moments never are permenant. The Hunters March Bench, the Last Judge Death Explosion-
