The hard drive in the 1st pic, which I just bought, was $300 and holds 14TB, while the drive in the 2nd pic (the first drive I ever used) cost ~$1,500 when new in 1981 (~$5,700 today) and held 10MB. (Yes, MB.) The new drive holds 1.4 million x data at 5% of the price. That's a lot of cat pictures.
