Sure, I guess. I just know when I was a kid I don’t think I would like a toy that was a constant reminder of a condition I had. Maybe at first but not after a while. I was boy so maybe that makes it different. But that’s just how I see it. Everything for kids doesn’t need to reflect reality.

Ok fine. I just don’t see it that way. But if it makes you and yours happy enjoy.

So my daughter is what, not a girl? Your opinion is no more valuable than anyone else’s. Everyone has a right to one whether you like it or not.

You’re saying this while replying to ME. You didn’t have to comment either.

Are you? If not I guess your opinion isn’t “super relevant” either. And is this about the kids or is it about your feelings?

Ma’am, I am a minority. Yes, representation is nice and does feel good to see someone that looks like you on TV, movie, whatever. I just don’t place the value on it a lot of you do. There other more important things IMO.

I disagree. Play does have an escapism element to it. It doesn’t need to reflect reality all the time. And kids are well aware there are conditions like this with internet/TV. I don’t think kids are nearly as worried about representation as adults. They just want to play and have fun.

And now she can’t even escape it in her fantasy/play life. Why would I want a doll to remind me of my condition!?

Ok this is kinda silly. I mean but get it, but this is kinda silly.

Interesting take. Definitely never thought of it like that.
