Habemus operculum libri!

My book on Habermas as a public intellectual does not have a website or a publication date yet (it's looking like early 2026), but it does have a cover! Many thanks to Talal Nayer for creating the cover image for me.

The first day of our workshop on the new structural transformation of the digital public sphere was a great success with much constructive and occasionally agonistic debate. If you are in the area you can still join us for tomorrow’s sessions!

I was invited to Habermas’s house yesterday “zu einer Tasse Kaffee.“ I am still processing the whole experience (we talked for over six hours!), but it is surreal to have sat with Habermas in Starnberg under Günther Fruhtrunk’s painting “Wiesengrund”

I won’t submit it until the end of June, but I just put all the chapters together in one file, so my book on Habermas as a public intellectual is finally a reality!

It comes in at just under 170,000 words (including all references) and just over 500 pages. 😅

A short pilgrimage to a couple of sites related to the Frankfurt School before continuing my archival visit at the Habermas Vorlass today.

My book manuscript workshop starts early tomorrow morning 😅

Four years after my initial visit in February-March 2020 was cut short by the outbreak of Covid-19, I am back in the archive at Habermas Vorlass chasing down a few details ahead of my book manuscript workshop on Friday. It’s amazing how far my work on Habermas as a public intellectual has come!
