Literally what the right says about the left
I often listen to the Ezra Klein show. He’s smart and well-prepared, but on this issue his naïveté is glaring. The people he wants dialogue with don’t seek conversation, they seek to silence and impose, Mussolini-style strong man political system. How can someone so intelligent not see that?

The politicization of science in the last ten or twenty years has done enormous damage, and come at a terrible human cost, but keep going.

The reason we should go into space is because we can.
All of these things are, on some level, civilization-scale art projects. Maybe we don't do pyramids or cathedrals any more, but the grand edifices of science are every bit as awe-inspiring.
