Up to a point. Some Unis have deals with Chinese universities to offer joint degrees (students study in China then come to UK for 1-2 years). Then use their UK degree to get MSc offer at one of the top UK places. So the pool is bigger than very top, but UK UG degree has to be plausible.

But how would you deal with the border (and why would the EU want to)?

I'm very sorry - it's really hard. Only happened to me once, but I still remember it.

It was also a lot cheaper than butter, which was the main reason my mum used it.

Isn't the morality different too? It's different to lie & cheat to get money for your (wonderful) charity than for yourself

No idea unless they're trying to get the kids to filter out the info they don't need?

300g per dm^3 is the concentration and 1 dm^3 is the volume made up. But the wording is v confusing especially for GCSE

I'm lazy so have always used a breadmaker for it (so only about 5 mins to chuck the ingredients in). It does dry out but perks up if you warm it in the oven or toast it.

I find it easier to make it (in a breadmaker) than buy it. And the bought GF stuff is full of crap. I get 16kg bags of GF flour from Doves Farm - more expensive than standard flour, but the shop bread is too

A quote from Sound of Music (a blast from childhood on TV tonight): when God closes a door he opens a window. Not in my dept he doesn't...

Oh no - I have nightmares about doing that.

I've found both Smarty & Lebara to be reliable and cheap. (Had to move from Smarty when 3G switched off cos they don't have 2G & my then phone didn't have 4G).

That sounds scary - I hope he's OK

Yes, I did the same. It felt like satire when it was made, but we now seem to be so far out the other side it was upsetting to see what's been lost.

Maths numbers seem to have been going up for a long time (6.9% of A-level entries in 2004, 9.6% in 2011): www.lms.ac.uk/sites/defaul...
I'm not sure what the longer term trends are though (I vaguely remember some sort of dip when AS marks stopped contributing to the A-level results)

I thought it was the generation who grew up after WW2 who are more RW than those who lived through it? Eg my mum (b 1926) was very against brexit
