This is a no brainer trade for Habs, they get the lefty centre they desperately need, who can also kill penalties, match up well against top players, help protect leads…the money part is a non issue.

I’d keep Carrier in the top 4, played well against Edm & seems strange to move him out of the top 4 while losing a top 4 defender
