Competing with Reform on who can be the biggest bastards (a fight only Reform can win), is basically campaigning for them.

And Labour sit and wonder why they are where they are and Reform, despite their lunacy, are storming ahead.

They back him bc NF tells them their communities are getting worse & people don’t see how it’s improving. He then gives them an cop out for it - immigrants.

If KS turns communities around, makes lives better, Reforms shouting about immigrants becomes obsolete.

There’s no upside for KS.

For example, if I said to you you’re a “left wing wokey liberal” you’re very likely to dig your heels in for whatever POV you have than go “oh you know what, you’re right”

The same is true the other way. It has to be approached differently. Call NF racist, but voters, no.

It’s probably a mix of strongly against versus I’m not really sure what the hell this is which is probably why there’s much criticism and scepticism from all sides.

I think it’s safe to say there’s not a ‘strongly for’ camp other than that in government.

I disagree. I’ve seen heavy negative POV from all sides of the spectrum with a slight smattering of positive/indifferent.

Me? I think the timing is poor. I don’t know where I stand on it yet but when NF is wide open (ILR, swans, Trump, autism) KS chooses ID cards as a point of attack? Baffling.

His approach just doesn’t make sense. Policies that are deeply unpopular (ID cards) and all but tells the electorate Farage is right, but don’t vote for him.

Instead of scoring into Farage’s open goal on Trump, swans and autism, Labour have decided to take their goalkeeper and defence off by pushing on with a national ID no one wants, no one asked for and is deeply unpopular.

I don’t see how Starmer remains PM until 2029.

The big issue is Ks knows if AB gets a seat, he is toast. Thus he has no desire to allow AB to run for a seat in Gorton.

There’s also an inherent risk he runs and loses to Reform given their polling. It’s quite possibly a lose lose for KS.

Ironically it’s the same message Starmer is sending about Farage and Reform “they’re right but don’t vote for them vote for us”

It just doesn’t make any sense.

I want Britain back. The British culture that’s been forgotten about. Yes we’ve lost our way but we can come together once again.
