I have researched this further, and find that with the ACA some of this changed, as I've attached here. Almost free healthcare while in congress, and subsidized insurance when they retire. Do you have these kind of benefits? That's the point!!!

The law did change with the ACA, but here is the law now. You retire from congress, you get subsidized insurance. While in congress, almost free care.

Also, they do get healthcare while at work, and can pay a small fee to be in sort of a club, to participate in unlimited Healthcare while in congress.

Don't give up, get mad. They can indeed carry this almost free coverage into retirement. I do stand corrected that ALL members can carry the coverage for life, only if they retire.
