I spent some time this weekend cleaning up the circuit board of my old guitar amp - it kind of works now! Also discovered the the reverb spring tank is busted beyond repair.

a ocorrência de flares é comum nesta época em que o Sol está no seu período ativo: vemos isso pelo número de manchas solares presentes na superfície. O ciclo de atividade solar tem um período de 11 anos. Um dos desafios é prever se um ciclo de atividade será muito ou pouco intenso

o flare de hoje lançou um CME e parece que vem na nossa direção! A radiação chega bem mais rápido aqui (8 minutos) enquanto a CME pode demorar alguns dias, dependendo da velocidade que foi lançada. Essa é uma imagem do coronógrafo LASCO que registra esses eventos

Explosões solares são classificadas pela sua intensidade da emissão em raios-X, registradas pelo satélite GOES da NOAA, usando uma escala A, B, C, M e X (em ordem crescente de intensidade). Esta de hoje foi uma X-9.

Hoje aconteceu no Sol mais uma explosão (ou flare), mas essa foi a mais intensa desde setembro de 2017. O flare é esse brilho maior quase no meio do Sol, registrado em ultravioleta pelo satélite SDO da NASA
