I've seen that happen and it is not pretty. I think when that kind of thing happens, you have to take a hard look at everyone involved. Is your buddy being possessive, or does your wife worry about the places he takes you? Or vice versa. You look young, you've got time to figure it out.

It also happens with women friends when one marries, moves away, or gets a new job.
