I meant the name itself is a sublte insult to trans people as a lot of people might not associate it immediately to that guy. The critique in the book, as far as i've read from secondhand sources, is very unsublte about it's both misoginy and transphobia.

Fr fr. People don't know how to read critically it seems like they just take the author's words and don't think about what's behind it and it's really worrying. A lot of people still read books like they did in highschool.

That's crazy to me like people always say "we should judge people by the time period's morality" to justify historical figures being racist but when those people were also judged AT THE TIME people still excuse it.
