I loved @tananarivedue.bsky.social's The Reformatory--book of the year. Alison Rumfitt's Tell Me I'm Worthless is like early Clive Barker--amazing. I'm working my way through the entire Willy Vlautin library right now. Start with The Night Always Comes, a perfect little gem of meth-noir.

Its so gross how they are already out for blood that Genocide Joe is our ONLY choice

Which who am I kidding, there was never another choice

Just two sides of the exact same coin

Joe Biden hasn't protected LGBTQIA+ rights, reproductive rights, or really anything

Why do we vote for him again?

I'm afraid it might be brain worms all the way down 🪱

Hate changes people, until they realize one day they have no values outside of trying to justify their views

I wish there was a way back to humanity, but sometimes I worry there is not 😭

Genocide Joe doubles down and uses his emergency powers to fund ~$106 million in tank shells

Joe Biden can use his emergency powers to fund the genocide of Palestinians but he cant:

1) Restore reproductive fights
2) Impose human-rights for LGBTQIA+ people
3) Provide healthcare to the people

While congress ignores our voices we must keep putting pressure on them

Let them know how we feel, no more genocide in our names!

LAT ed board comes out swinging against a proposed CA initiative that bans care for trans youth, forces teachers to out trans students, and bans them from bathrooms/sports.

"Voters have a real chance to protect children in the coming months by refusing to sign petitions for this noxious proposal"
Editorial: Want to protect children? Don't sign this trans-bashing petition
California has protected the rights of transgender students for years with few complaints or problems. Now a push for a ballot measure to end that is underway.

Yep. There is almost not a single other writer out there who is competition to you… the only person you’re in competition with is yourself. And honestly that’s more than enough.
Having writer friends is a blessing. It's knowing people who get it and maybe even get you. Why build competition when you can build community?

The more voters reject the GOP's transphobia the more transphobic the GOP becomes because if democracy won't help them enforce their social and cultural regime then it's democracy that has to go

I got a bit more personal, and said that as a transgender person I am actually scared that this will drive me off the internet and cut me off from my community.

I also said that my friends have trans kids, who depend on the internet for support. And I'm legit worried what'll happen to them.

Today I managed to reach a real live human being at Senator Butler's office to register my concerns about KOSA. I went through my concerns that this bill would be used by red state AGs to silence queer people online. But then I did something that seemed to make an impression.

Courage is required.
A lot of people who are sympathetic to trans rights or see the right-wing's vitriol for what it is nonetheless don't engage because they're afraid of doing it wrong and I assure you I'd much prefer to correct a thousand mistakes made by earnest allies than face nothing but silence from cowards
