This movie sounds terrible, but what's interesting me about this press release is that it features some new sprites.
Dan, Don, Cammy, & Joe (!) have sprites in the same style as the pixel portraits players can use to customize their "Here comes a new challenger!" screens.

The Cutting Room Floor, who discovered these unused Mephisto sprites, notes that they’re probably miscolored. So for this post , I recolored them with some of the reds found in Mephisto’s MSH vs. SF palette.

Capcom never stated why this change was made, but it may be based upon the green and white costume she wore when she first joined the X-Men.
