And if I did, I would be upset at supporting it as you are. I would encourage you, like Stephen King did yesterday, to look at primary sources rather than edited clips and decide for yourself. Not saying you'll agree with him, I often don't, but I suspect most of what you've heard is wrong or has a larger context. A magic the gathering card: Chains of Mephistopheles I colorless, one black Enchantment If a player would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, that player discards a card instead. If the player discards a card this way, they draw a card. If the player doesn't discard a card this way, they mill a card.

Shapeshift Perfect for werewolves, doppelgangers, and heroes with secret identities and pairs extremely well with Bearer of Many Faces. Pick 2 of your other Talents (henceforth referred to Baseline Talents) and then pick 4 new ones (Polymorphic Talents ) -[H]: Switch up to both of your Baseline Talents with one of your Polymorphic Talents when you fulfill criteria decided upon taking this (night time, when your character is drunk, only when you’re alone, etc.) -[H][H]: Make the transformation without fulfilling the criteria. Note: You can take this a second time to expand this to 4 Baseline & 6 Polymorphic OR just a separate form with 2 Baseline and 4 Polymorphic. Expert Culinarian Unique For players who want to be the party cook. This adds four new fairly powerful meal traits. You can only include one of these in a meal, leaving you to use a more normal flavor as your second instead. Premium – Per scene Cooking effects trigger twice. Elemental – Grants the players Resistance to an element of the Cook’s choice. Energized – Twice per scene, a character can use an action one category faster than usual. Raw – Once per scene, a character can ignore half of an enemy’s armor for an attack. -[H]: Give your meal a little extra oomph, tell each player something about your cooking, why you made it for them, or what you think they need more of in their diet and why. For the rest of the adventure they can tag this effect to completely bypass a Hero Token cost and do something wild once per scene.

Odds are that people will suggest you play a game they’re already familiar with. Tell them that you want to play Gensou Narratograph instead. Of course, it’s only polite to play their favorite RPG afterwards as well.

Sin Swallower Spell Serpents hide in the heart of man, preying on their insecurities and feeding on their weaknesses, you must slay them, so that they may live unburdened by the darkness that grows in the ignorant. When you consume the flesh or blood of someone you have rendered helpless, erase one of their motivations from their hearts and roll 2d6. On a 10+, light floods your veins and you know those who share their vision. On a 7-9, one of your Injuries is changed into a Scar in front of everyone, but your eyes will terrify innocents around you for the rest of the week. On a 6-, you may choose to make someone believe something you say utterly once, but their Motivation is now added to your Drives.

Explore [Adventure] [Team] The ideal of any adventure is exploration. Digging deep into weird dungeons, picking through thick shadowy forests, and saving the world at the same time. When you first explore an uncharted locale, three map cards are placed face down, and each player – maximum of one player per role – picks one of the following of these roles: • You’re the mapper, you place the first card yourself and it’s face up. From now on during Advance, the party draws two cards rather than one and the second card no longer needs to be placed adjacent to a just placed card. • You’re the watch. You keep an eye out at all times and the GM will always tell you when creatures have been in the area and approximately how recently as well as any strange architectural elements. • You’re the botanist. You can directly identify any plants and plant-like creatures from memory. Additionally after every fight you can remove one harm from all allies with stored herbs before the characters would take injuries. • You are the researcher. When ancient writing, mysterious murals, or esoteric symbolism come up you can get some background information on them or even direct translations. • You are the packrat. Every hour that elapses on an area’s clock allows you and your allies to regain 2 uses from the item of their choice. • You are the scout. You can flip the card of your choice every time you Advance and know the tags of the scenes before you start them. • You are the fool. As long as there isn’t an ambush, enemies are always willing to talk before they attack. • You’re the note-taker. During Mystery cards you can request up to two clues, and during Danger cards you can reveal a hidden Hazard. Afterward the entrance card is placed down adjacent to one of the already placed cards and the party is placed there.
